My son is in 2/2 Fox company. They have just deployed to Afghanistan to relive 2/8. I pray for the safe return for 2/2 as well as all members of the military. \nWith that being said, I think America\'s leaders should not worry so much about investing our money rebuilding a country we are trying to help and start making the safety and comfort of our men a hire priority.God Bless my son, God Bless our Troops!","pt":"Oct 25, 2009 23:59"},{"nm":"Susan","rs":"0","ms":"My son is a SGT in the 2nd RECON BN, Company A, but is currently attached to GOLF Company serving in Helmand Providence, Afghanistan. I can\'t tell you how proud I am of him and all the other troops who put their lives on the line every day so we don\'t have to worry. Unless you\'ve been there, we have no idea what they go thru both physically and mentally. I for one, look at the news and read as much as I can but until you live it, I know it\'s not the same.\nMy son is due to return to Camp Lejeune, NC sometime in December and I can\'t wait to see him. The 3rd RECON BN is replacing them and should arrive in Afghanistan around Nov. 21st. My thoughts, prayers and best wishes to all so you can return to the US safely. Love you very much Jason and I couldn\'t be prouder of anyone, Mom","pt":"Oct 22, 2009 09:37"},{"nm":"Heather","rs":"0","ms":"My boyfriend is in this program, and so is my sister\'s husband. I am so proud of what they do for a living. Everyday I am extremely thankful for everything that they are. It\'s hard having a loved one overseas and not knowing if they\'ll come home with a United States flag over them or with tears rolling down their face because they\'re glad to be home again. All the men and women overseas aren\'t given enough credit for what they do! And bless their hearts for what they go through everyday over there. Nothing makes me more proud then knowing my marine is making a difference for our safety over here! I love him with every inch of my body and I can\'t wait until he can hold me tight again. As for all of the marines who are overseas, all of my best friends and even the marines who I don\'t know, We\'re waiting for you with open arms so we\'ll see you when you get home! I hope and pray that our govt gives them the right and enough tools to end this war. If we are going to pussyfooft around it will turn into another Vietnam and we have no hope of winning. If what I read is correct and we have to break off an engagement because we MAY hurt civilians, I am sorry, it is war and people die. WWI did not have these political problems we have today. I am so tired of being politically correct. If someone does not like what we do, you are free to leave and go back to your own country.\nGod Bless Our Troops.\nSemper Fi","pt":"Oct 18, 2009 11:49"},{"nm":"Teri Anne Cothran Hairston","rs":"0","ms":"I understand how the families feel about their loved ones being in a war zone /Afghanistan or Iran. All suffer when there\'s a war going on. I myself have a cousin by the name "Shane Campbell"in Afghanistan the last I heard. My sister Geri in South Carolina told me he visited her numerous times before being deployed,he\'s been twice;so far. We hope and pray that Shane and the rest of our Men and Women make it home in one piece physically and mentally. War takes a lot of of our brothers and sisters. I pray for all of them every night."God please make it as safe as possible for our people over in this country of war mongers." The Talibans are unpredictable and they don\'t know who their friends are over there. One minute they are their nextdoor neighbors and later on they are their enemies firing ammo at them. I don\'t know myself how it feels to be there in the line of fire, but as a Security Officer I do know how scarey it can be in your line of work.As a Female Security Officer working the Grave Yard Shift;I do understand it can be very dangerous at times. Good Luck Guys and gals in Iran and Afghanistan,we love you all!! take care as good as you can and come back home to the love of your life and families in one piece. Take care all and be very Vigelante and Inteligante in your line of duties. ","pt":"Oct 16, 2009 04:22"},{"nm":"Katie Moore","rs":"0","ms":"My brother is relieving Echo Co in just a few days.
