Watson","rs":"0","ms":"To win this war, Obama needs to maintain public interest by refocusing the attention on Al Qaeda.  While we planned going into Afghanistan to enact counterterrorism, we also wanted to stop Al Qaeda’s presence within Pakistan, which would lead to counterinsurgency.  Although many changes have been introduced by General McChrystal, some believe the results will not be available till 3 or 4 months later.  Many options face the president, and Americans are beginning to question how many more soldiers and troops will pour into Afghanistan.  Like Johnson’s Vietnam or Bush’s Iraq, this war is now being called Obama’s war.  I like how Obama is listening to numerous advisors and strategies, and I believe continue with the counterinsurgency within Afghanistan.      ","pt":"Oct 19, 2009 16:49"}]}); });
